Assisting West Devon & South Hams Local councils by providing sustainability consultancy services. We will be assisting SME's by providing carbon footprint reporting & targeted decarbonisation advice to support grant funding & investment opportunities. This will support SME's on their journey to Carbon Net Zero. The project includes:
The project has currently delivered 5 phases (circa 80 SME's), with the 6th cohort secured & now live (as of November 2024). It is aimed that over 100 SME's will graduate from the programme. Recro Vida reacted quickly to the client need around providing a suite of environmental, carbon & sustainability systems & processes for the client. These were tailored to the size, scale & scope of works this small electrical contractors deliver. Works included:
- An Environmental Policy Statement from scratch with related environmental KPI's
- A carbon policy to level 5, including SMART targets for decarbonisation
- A Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) with full baseline carbon footprint on the business
- Support around Social (Societal) Value questions on the bid
- Advice on creating an appropriate Environmental Inspection Template

Combating Climate Change by complete cycling enhancement. The Sustainable Cycling Symposium (SCS) linked multiple services in one location by facilitating strategic local events across the great ocean city of Plymouth.

After securing required funds by placing 2nd in the 2021 #backthefuture Plymouth City Council Climate Change competition, Recro Vida have now completed 12/12 events.
Additional to this core deliverable, Recro Vida delivered the adjacent road safety video (in partnership with Plymouth City Bus) & raised funds as well as awareness of a local cycling charity The Mountain Biking Collective.
A programme of 4 lunch & learn style training workshops hosted in partnership with the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce. Participants will progress from a limited knowledge of climate change and carbon emissions, to delivering on a Carbon Net Zero Positive strategy for their business.
Tech Infinite are a market disruptor start up focussed on sustainable innovations. Their intent is to disrupt the marketplace with real world, game changing sustainable technologies at scale. Recro Vida assisted the company in it's application for the 2023 Earthshot Prize. Recro Vida provided added value by harnessing the technical competence & experience of the team by understanding their products & tailoring the application to ensure the sustainability benefits were captured & conveyed.
Recro Vida facilitated a workshop for 15 SME's focussed around Responsible Business. SME's were coached through the principles of what it means to be a responsible business & how it can aid with growth of the company. The session had a specific focus on Sustainability and SME's finished the session with a progressed Carbon Net 0 Policy to ensure the session provided a useful output.
Recro Vida utilised an existing relationship to participate in a wider programme of employability sessions for local people in Dartmoor area of Devon.
Two cohorts of people currently unemployed were trained over one 6 hour and town 3 hour workshops to accommodate individual situations.
Recro Vida has established a relationship with the Sustainability & Environmental course leads at UoP. RV have been invited to deliver a lecture at the university on a combined MSc degree programme at the university: Professional Practice. RV will give an overview of their career to date, routes in to industry as well as focussing specifically on industry topics of Sustainable Construction, Life Cycle Analysis & Corporate Social Responsibility.
Recro Vida gave free presentations & consultancy advice to the CCC (formerly The Climate Hub and Our Planet Your Path). This focussed on the sustainable refurbishment of their space as well as interactive workshops and presentations on sustainability themes to the general public.
Recro Vida's expertise in the build & natural environment was requested to assist in a series of landscape design works in central Plymouth. The Building Resilience In Communities (BRIC) team are currently delivering a series of flood prevention & afforestation works in the heart of the Plymouth community. Recro Vida have been engaged to give design and project management advise & guidance. This work is being delivered for the end client Plymouth City Council (PCC).
